Formed in 2022 in the Welsh seaside town of Aberystwyth, Misha and the Kings are the spectacular result of four very different musical paths colliding in one unlikely place.
What began as a local covers band playing small venues quickly evolved into one of the region’s most talked-about live acts. In a remarkably short time, the band built a reputation for explosive performances, huge singalong hooks, theatrical energy, and crowd-stomping rhythms, graduating from packed pubs to major festival stages and sold-out hometown shows.
Their sound sits on the punkier side of pop rock, equal parts anthem, chaos, and charm, with live performances drawing comparisons to the energy of Paramore, the showmanship of Queen, and the sheer fun of Madness.
In 2026, the band captured audiences across Wales with their bid to represent San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest. Backed by a grassroots crowdfunding campaign, they travelled to San Marino for the selection process, earning coverage from ITV Cymru Wales and BBC Radio Wales along the way.
Soon afterwards, the band performed their Eurovision track at a filmed TEDx event before drawing a standing-room-only crowd for a special acoustic performance inside Aberystwyth’s Holy Trinity Church.
With their debut album Too Hot arriving in June 2026, Misha and the Kings are entering their biggest chapter yet, building momentum far beyond the west coast of Wales and establishing themselves as one of the country’s most exciting emerging live acts.
For a band that started out playing covers in seaside pubs, things have escalated quickly.
